Community Fireworks Night

Roadway closures will begin around 4:00 pm on Monday July 4th, and are expected to remain closed until approximately 11:00 pm. 

Traffic delays are expected on all roadways surrounding downtown from 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm. Community members are encouraged to walk or bike to the downtown area or use public transportation. Those not wanting to access the downtown area should use Fourth St. or Portola Ave. to travel across town.

Street Closures are as follows:

  • First St from Old First St. to L St.
  • Railroad Ave from Maple St. to L St.
  • Maple St. from First St. to Third St.
  • McLeod St from First St. to Second St.
  • L street from Railroad Ave to First St.
  • Livermore Ave. from Chestnut St to Second St.
  • Second St. from McLeod St to Old First St.
  • J St from First to Second St
  • K St from First to Second St
  • N. K St and Oak St S. around to Railroad Ave.

General Parking

The parking garage will be closed to vehicles early Monday July 4th in the morning until approximately 11:00 pm.

The parking lot behind First Street off Railroad and L Street will be closed to allow for a safe, pedestrian-friendly, community viewing experience!! Grab a delicious meal downtown, a camping chair and a picnic blanket and come enjoy the community viewing experience at Stockmen's Park. There will be a DJ and FREE glow sticks FOR KIDS courtesy of City of Livermore available while supplies last!!

There will be a designated ADA parking location available in the above parking lot located at the corner of Railroad and L Street with the only access point being located on the L Street side near First Street only.

Parking is also available on surface streets around the street closure areas. Please be courteous of residents who live in the surrounding areas. Please exercise patience with traffic and extreme caution with pedestrians as many families will be walking and biking Downtown to experience the fireworks show before and after hours in dark conditions. High visibility clothing, glow sticks and flash lights encouraged while walking around in the evening.
