9:00-9:45 am Use of Perennials in the Landscape with Lynda Meikle
Lynda is a local award-winning landscape designer whose passion is reducing water-hungry lawns and replacing them with a variety of trees, shrubs and perennials, creating vibrant ever changing outdoor spaces. Lynda will introduce everyone to a bounty of perennials, for our summer dry climate. Where and how to plant them to bring interest with not only colorful blooms, but texture and foliage will be the focus of this talk.
10:00-10:45 am Snipping and Clipping – A Guide to Pruning Throughout the Year with Steve Hampson
Pruning your shrubs and trees is an essential part of maintaining your landscape. However, many gardeners don’t realize that for many plants, timing and the correct pruning method are everything. Steve will discuss how and when to prune a wide variety of plants so that they look and perform their best.
11:00 am-11:45 pm Hunting Wild Daffodils in Spain with Harold Koopowitz
There are nearly a hundred different species of daffodils. Only a few have been used for breeding the garden daffodils. We have travelled through Spain looking for unusual daffodils so that we can make new kinds of daffodils for the garden.
12:00-1:00 pm – Enjoy delicious catered box lunch.
The cost is $60 which includes catered box lunch and three classes. There is not a separate charge for each speaker; it is a package of all three and lunch.
Reservations will be accepted through Monday, February 16th. Please call (925-447-0280) and ask for the Cashier or place your order on our website.
