Details

Benny Goodman was at the height of his career when he and his legendary band performed at Carnegie Hall in January 1938 and redefined the meaning of popular music. Relive this amazing event with an all-star big band made up of exceptional jazz and swing musicians led by one of the great interpreters of Goodman’s music, Terry Myers.

The show recaptures a magical era when such hits as Sing, Sing, Sing, King Porters Stomp, One O’Clock Jump, Stomping at the Savoy and Avalon topped the charts. Legendary vocal group The Pied Pipers will perform the hit songs they made famous with Frank Sinatra and Tommy Dorsey such as I’ll Never Smile Again, Dream and There are Such Things, star singer and dancer from the Lawrence Welk Show, Mary Lou Metzger, plus vocalist Polly Podewell, the last girl singer hired by Benny Goodman himself, will deliver favorite vocal hits such as And The Angels Sing.
