Join us at the Civic Center Livermore Library with author Susan Metallo on Saturday, October 10th at 1 pm! We will be there too, selling copies of Susan's books.

Susan is visiting us all the way from Virginia to celebrate the launch of her newest YA book, Hearts on the Table. Come hear about her writing journey and this twisty transformation of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

Susan is a young adult author and librarian. Her debut novel, Reasons to Hate Me, was one of Publisher's Weekly's Best YA Books of the Year, a Children's Book Council "Teacher Favorite," a "Rise: A Feminist Book Project" selection (ALA Feminist Taskforce and Social Justice Roundtable), an American Booksellers Association Indie Next Kids title and Indies Introduce Kids selection. Her work has received starred reviews from multiple trade jounrals including School Library Journal, Kirkus, The Horn Book, and Publishers Weekly. Susan is living her best nerd life, and when she's not writing a book (or reading someone else's) you might find her doing a crossword puzzle or singing the soprano line of a Baroque fugue.
