J2B2, or John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band, is a bluegrass supergroup comprising award-winning musicians John Jorgenson, Herb Pedersen, Mark Fain, and Patrick Sauber. Known for their unique fusion of bluegrass with West Coast folk rock, they have received critical acclaim for their live performances. Jorgenson, co-founder of the Desert Rose Band and the Hellecasters, toured with Elton John and has collaborated with icons like Barbra Streisand, Bonnie Raitt, and Earl Scruggs. He also won a Grammy in 2008 and portrayed Django Reinhardt in "Head in the Clouds". Pedersen, once part of The Dillards and Old and In the Way, has worked alongside legends such as Emmylou Harris and Jackson Browne. Mark Fain, known for his 13-year association with Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, has also collaborated with artists like the Dixie Chicks and Dolly Parton. Sauber, a versatile instrumentalist, has toured with Peter Rowan and appeared in “The Mighty Wind”. J2B2's debut album, "From The Crow’s Nest", was recorded in Sheryl Crow’s studio and released as part of Jorgenson’s 3-CD box set "DIVERTUOSO". Their notable performances include headlining the Guitar Town Festival thrice and multiple appearances at the Grand Ole Opry. Both The International Bluegrass Music Association and Yes! Weekly have lauded the band's unparalleled musical prowess.
